Peggy of the Cove rate
(Expression) The name given to the legendary young girl who was the only survivor of a shipwreck along the east coast of Nova Scotia during the mid 1800's. Unable to recall her past, her new family called her Peggy. As a result, the villagers named the now famous fishing village after her, Peggy's Cove.
Usage: Folks for miles around would say, "Let's go see Peggy of the Cove."
